Here we go … another year coming to an end. I think back to my youth when a year used to be a really long time…lol. Somehow, the years have been compressed and seem to whiz by.
I missed getting our partner letter out last month. That was the first time in over two years that I missed our monthly communication. Sorry for the lapse.
Launching An Expedited Plan … We have thought hard and heavy about our Youth Camp getting up and running. The plan I suggested two months ago will take too long to raise money and build out. We feel pressed in the spirit to get this ministry launched. We have expedited Phase I. Our goal is to be fully operational by June 2025.
In a Nutshell … We will be remodeling an existing building to convert to a Meeting Hall. Another existing building will be upgraded to a commercial kitchen facility. We will build an open-air Dining Hall as well as separate Shower & Toilet facilities for the guys and girls. Total price $96,000. We can be up and running by June 2025.
It’s All About Transformed Lives … That’s the whole purpose for the Youth Camp as well as our Bible School, Abundant Life Children’s Homes, the Church Planting Program, the Coffee Project and every aspect of our work in Thailand. Touching Lives for the Glory of God. Thank you for helping us get this project wrapped up… many lives will be transformed.
A Beautiful Story … We received an email in early September. It started out, “I don’t know if you remember me.” Gil had been to Thailand on a short-term mission trip to our ministry in 2004. He shared how his life was totally transformed by that trip and how he has travelled extensively the last 20 years installing clean water wells in third world countries around the world. He went on to say his son is 17, and he would like his son to have the same life changing experience he had. He asked if he could bring his son on a trip to Thailand. We do remember Gil; in fact, our daughter Amber Joy was the team leader for his group. That blessed us immensely. We connected and a trip will be forth coming. Another life touched and transformed by the glory of God. Amber Joy graduated to heaven in 2011. Her ministry still bears fruit.
Life on planet earth has become a bit crazy lately. It gets clearer and clearer that God’s way is the only way. We pray that your relationship with this ministry is a blessing in your life. You are enabling us to continue to make a massive impact in Thailand.
