God has expanded our ministry effectiveness in an unexpected way. We have been hosting teams for over 30 years. Looking back at the teams that came in the early days, we didn’t really understand how to use teams effectively.

Post Covid Travel Boom … Pre-Covid we were averaging 4-5 teams/year. Post Covid we have more than doubled that. This year we will host 13 teams, 9 of those teams have already been here. The results have been phenomenal. To facilitate the increase, we developed a Team Hosting Department.

Always Follow Grace and Favor… This is a lesson I learned years ago from Pastor John Osteen. When you see grace and favor, realize God is in it. Follow It … Develop It … It Will Bring Blessing.

Judge It By It’s Fruit … The teams have been a multi-fold blessing. They ignite our Thai staff, Bible School Students and the Children at our homes. The teams fund and accomplish numerous projects that fuel evangelism. The unexpected blessing is what we are seeing in the lives of the team members that visit us. Lives are being changed. We get reports back that many team members are reassessing their lives and making changes to serve God in a higher capacity. Increased vision for missions with significant increase of financial support for missions has been one of the results. Some have even moved to the mission field because of their experience in Thailand. This is a Win – Win.

I Remember My First Trip Out of the United States … I was 19 and went to Jamaica with some buddies. I wasn’t a Christian at that time and our purpose for going to Jamaica was not for Godly reasons. But God touched me on that trip. I saw people living in conditions I never knew existed. Seemed primitive to me, but they were happy and spoke about God all the time. I had never heard anyone talk about God. When we flew back to Miami, I was in a window seat. As I saw Miami come into view, I began to weep…my heart yearned to go back to Jamaica. Those people had something I didn’t. Something deep in my heart was touched…I didn’t understand it at the time. That trip and two more trips I made to Jamaica were instrumental in my coming to Christ.

It’s Good to Get Out of Your Comfort Zone… A mission trip can be a bit awkward and challenging at times. But that seems to help us make a reset, where we can adjust and make some tweaks. A core belief I have developed through the years is that we were created to serve God and mankind. I personally believe that true fulfillment is found through this secret. It’s coded deep in our hearts, placed there by our heavenly Father. Obviously, we are not all called to move to the mission field. Very few will have that calling. But we are all called to serve God and others. A short trip to the mission field has a way of bringing that to the forefront.

Thank You for Your Part in This Ministry… I guess I have been preaching to the choir here…you are already involved in reaching the nations. Together we are making a massive difference in the lives of thousands of people. Thank you for the privilege to represent you in foreign missions.
