It’s Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas…Thai style that is. For most of us, Christmas is celebrated on December 25 th . In Thailand Christmas is celebrated the entire month of December. You may find yourself attending Christmas events from the first week of the month until the last day of the year. Emails, texts, calls and messages begin to roll out starting on December 1 st . Believers send warm messages to each other, and invitations are sent for Christmas Celebrations. Ironically, December 25 th is not the big day.

The Reason for the Season Becomes Very Clear… It’s all about Jesus and sharing the Good News of salvation. The focus is God’s gift to mankind. Non-believers are invited to Christmas celebrations; many outreaches are planned to non-Christian communities. Many decisions for Christ are made in the month of December because of Christmas celebrations. I think the Thai people got it right on this one.

Wrapping Up Another Wonderful Year… Every year for the last 39 years, we have written a year end letter to our partners. I have been awed each year as it seems each year just gets better and better. It reminds me of Proverbs 4:18, “The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.” We pray that your days would shine with Jesus…have a blessed Christmas.

Can You Help Us Share the Gift of Jesus Christ … Last month we shared our year-end project with you. Our goal is to build two dormitories for the Youth Camp property. Each dorm will cost $89,000. It’s an investment in the lives of young people. In the years ahead, hundreds, thousands and eventually tens of thousands of children and youth will have life-changing experiences at the Youth Camp.

Thank You for Your Part in This Ministry … Cathy and I came to this nation 39 years ago this month along with three daughters. We were young, we had very little support back then, but we had a vision from God. Fast forward 39 years and Wow!!! How did God do all of this. Through the years God has built a team…our family in Thailand and partners that have faithfully supported us. Without you, none of this could have ever happened. Thank you for your part in making it all happen.

God Bless You Richly…and Merry Christmas

Charlie and Cathy
