Making a Difference

"Welcome to our website. There is a lot of information, links, videos, etc. that will show you what we have been up to the last 32 years. It is amazing how the time flies and truly amazing what can be accomplished by simply staying consistent in what God calls you to do. We want to thank the wonderful people that have made this ministry possible; faithful partners and an awesome team here in Thailand. It has been quite a journey to this point and we all know the best is yet to come!"

Along with overseeing Abundant Life Children’s Homes which care for over 700 children, Charlie and Cathy Milbrodt pastor a local church, conduct a bible school and oversee an evangelism-church planting team which has planted and constructed over 180 churches across the nation of Thailand. In recent years Occupational Development through coffee farming has been developed to provide livelihood for rural villagers. Great tasting Mai Thai Coffee is the result; giving hope to rural farmers and providing support to care for orphans and at risk children in Thailand.

Monthly Letter

NOVEMBER 2020

Last month we shared with you about our outreach ministry. It just keeps getting better!

Bible School Students and Youth Group Outreaches …When you receive this letter, our bible school students will be on an outreach along with several of our staff. They are pumped to put their training into practical application. In December, 45 of our youth will launch another outreach. They are taking it to the next level with servant evangelism. They will provide a motorcycle repair clinic, portable barber shop, portable beauty shop, building toilets and many other practical methods to share the love of Christ. Entire villages turn out for these events and many hearts are open to receiving Christ.

Food Production Project Exceeding Expectations …We got serious about this project and fruit is abounding. We have two pig raising facilities completed and full of pigs …163 pigs to be exact! 2021 will see us exceed our personal needs of 10 tons of meat/year to feed the children, staff and students. We will have surplus that we will begin marketing. The chickens, laying hens, fish and vegetable projects are going well too. A bonus is the wonderful supply of organic fertilizer we can compost from all the manure sources. Welcome to the farm!

Year End Project – We Are Going Solar …In our efforts to become more self-sufficient, we are tackling our electricity costs. Our monthly bill at our four campuses averages $5,000/month. No that’s not a typo! We can nearly eliminate this cost by going solar. Initial cost for the children’s home facilities will be $96,000. A lot of money, but we currently pay $60,000/year for electric costs. The company offers a 20-year guarantee which includes installation and any service that might be needed. In the event our systems over produce, we can sell the excess electric back to the grid. Here are the cost details:

Mae La Noi Children’s Home Compound …    $25,000

Ban Den Children’s Home Compound …           $25,000

Doi Saket Children’s Home Compound …       $46,350

Thank you for considering a special gift to help us become more energy independent.

God Bless You Richly!
